Mr. Clive Roger Barnes (Head of School)

Joined TNS in December 2010 to take the school to the next level of development in pursuing its IB determination. Mr. Barnes has taught in and run Schools for the past 28 years in Africa and the Indian Ocean areas and has obtained authorization for and run an IB school. Mr. Barnes' strengths are his inter personal relationships and his long association with secondary schooling and the holistic approach to education. Mr. Barnes loves sporting, cultural, social and service activities for school children as much as he does driving those children's academic potential and his devotion, expertise and passion have been brought to Pakistan and TNS to ensure the school moves from its present very successful stage (which he will keenly maintain) to the next stage where young people accept their responsibilities to grow effectively as young adults prepared to take on their roles as 21st century men and women with a keen appreciation of international trends and a willingness to participate in an ever-increasing global society. Mr. Barnes takes pleasure in leading his whole school community to a brighter, more effective future for TNS. Ms. Asma Amanat Ali (MYP Coordinator)

Miss Asma, Anne Marrie Schimmel Scholar (2006-7), secured a distinction in MSC Mathematics Education by Research from the University of Glasgow, UK. Her MS research work was rated by her supervisors & examiners as being of doctorate level. She is an experienced mathematics teacher and aims to bring enormous benefit not only to mathematics education but also to other subject areas. She strongly believes in "meaningful" learning and aims to focus on the development of the "whole person". Inspired by the philosophy of her teacher, Professor Norman Reid, she believes that every student is a "bundle of potential" to be released and strongly suggests that schools should allow students' ability to blossom to the maximum. By sharing experiences in the classroom setting and beyond, she aims to develop internationally -minded people who recognize our common humanity and create a better & peaceful world.

Ms. Humaira Parvin (Primary Years Coordinator)

“The role of the coordinator is to pave the road to learning for the students with the help of teachers”.

Changes are often foreign to teachers as well as students. As the Primary coordinator I facilitate the teachers to better understand changes in the curriculum, instruction and assessment, which consequently leads to deeper understanding of the concepts by the students.

As we all know that  TNS is a project based  institute, where students are provided with a flexible, creative and enjoyable format of learning where they are encouraged and given the opportunity to develop communication skills, teamwork, technology skills and make new friends around the world. As a coordinator, I guide the teachers how to carry out different teaching methodologies and integrate their lesson plans in such a way that their central focus is the project.

Ms. Kanwal Malik (Early Years Coordinator)

She comes with local and international experience of working with children from diverse backgrounds. She has designed and implemented children service programs for different age groups. Her education qualifications include Graduation in Psychology from University of Balochistan, taking the first position in the whole province, and Higher National Diploma from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdoms. Before joining TNS team, she worked for over two years in Melbourne as Children Services Program Coordinator in Caulfield South Primary School.

Kanwal also has the privilege of being part of School of Tomorrow: Freedon to Learn Conference held in November 2010 and attended several workshops conducted by Mr. Thomas White, Ms. Martha Lash, Ms. Susan Waltham and Ms. Kaye Heasman.

She strongly believes in John Dewey's theory of Learning by doing and has actively participated in developing and executing TNS educational projects. She believes that every child has a different and unique personality thus need different instructional methods to cater their unique learning patterns. She also feels that structured learning must go hand-in-hand with the activity based learning as it promotes structure in children's daily lives and helps them to discipline, while the activity based learning nurtures imagination and creativity.

Ms. Nida Malik (Event Coordinator)

Enthusiasm releases the drive to carry you over obstacles and adds significance to all you do.

- Norman Vincent Peale
Being an ‘Event Coordinator’ means being responsible for planning a variety of occasions during the entire school year. It requires a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Working on a variety of events can be fast-paced, hectic and require the ability to multi-task and deal with any crisis that may arise. It gives me the opportunity to work closely with the whole school’s staff and students. I enjoy being the event coordinator for TNS because no matter how hectic it is, it’s a very hands on role which is rewarding when accomplished successfully.
